Book Design: The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation by Bruce Rawles

This project showcases a number of IDS skills and capabilities including book cover design and illustration graphics using tools such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, and POVRay – now MegaPOV (which was used to render the 3-dimensional symbol in the center of the cover, giving the seven 2-dimensional flat illustrations depth within a translucent spherical bubble enclosure), on-site photography (Egypt), extensive writing and editing … and probably almost all the services mentioned on our Packages Page in one way or another! :-)

This is a project I’ve been working on since the late 1990′s; it’s fun to finally be able to share it with everyone! :-) This page is also on my GeometryCode.com website here if you happen to have interest in the subject, which includes Sacred Geometry, ancient Hermetic Laws and non-dual metaphysics.

“Bruce has done a remarkable job of sharing how – by developing trust in the Inner Guide we all have in common – we can include the symbolic contents of our unconscious mind in very familiar forms, such as geometric ones. … This work is a fun and useful addition to the list of ACIM studies books. Enjoy, and awaken.”
Gary R. Renard, best-selling author of The Disappearance of the Universe

The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation by Bruce Rawles (front cover)

An Inclusive Identity transforms our experience from separate to whole. Our inner teacher of kindness reinterprets every day events in ways that lead us to freedom. Observing our minds with this guidance, we apply universal laws to our individual lives, using geometric metaphors as memory aids, releasing the identification with unconscious victim scripts that sabotage our happiness. This book integrates practical insights from modern physics, ancient Hermetic Laws, non-dual metaphysics, transpersonal psychology – and humor – as tools for undoing conflicting beliefs we’ve dreamed ourselves into. Symbols remind us to forgive the dreamer.

We explore seven laws in-depth and demonstrate how a mindfulness that embraces ‘other’ as ‘self’ can reverse the typical misapplication of these inescapable laws of Mentalism, Correspondence, Vibration, Polarity, Rhythm, Cause & Effect and Generation. Ubiquitous geometric symbols, paired to each of these laws – the circle, vesica piscis, sine wave, line, spiral, fractal and yin-yang – and their countless commonplace variations, seen from the vantage point of shared interests, reflect these ideas. The inspired use of natural law restores attributes of life, love, strength, purity, beauty, perfection and gratitude to our awareness. Our intentions of loving kindness make use of these memory aids for returning our minds to wholeness as we forgive ourselves, using dreams to heal instead of harm.

The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation by Bruce Rawles (author of Sacred Geometry Design Sourcebook) will be available here on Tuesday June 5, 2012!

Click here and we will email details about ordering The Geometry Code book.

“The Geometry Code elegantly approaches the underlying assumptions of the belief in separation – the treasured wounds we won’t forgive which prevent healing – from the context of Oneness. Using ancient and modern mirrors, such as universal laws and sacred geometry, it reveals our true shared selves. I’m impressed with the depth and breadth of this book; it’s really profound. Thank you for bringing it into being.”

20 Steps to Set Up a NEW WP Website

Our favorite domain host is BLUEHOST. We have used it for many years now.
Bruce created a step-by-step set up guide for your next new WordPress site on BlueHost. (If you need to set up a new domain click on our BlueHost link to the right of this article.)

  1. Create a BlueHost account (please use this link if possible, since it helps support our work)
  2. Click on Domain Manager
  3. Assign domain (pick the new name just registered, e.g. my-new-domain.com)
  4. Leave all defaults (typically) on this page and click “Add Domain.” (This may take up to 2 or 3 minutes).
  5. Click on the cPanel tab
  6. Under the “Logs” panel, click on “Choose Log Programs”
  7. Find the new domain, and click to select “awstats” and “webalizer” next to the domain, and click “SAVE CHANGES” so you can analyze your traffic and SEO performance. Later, we’ll also show how to install the Google Analytics in your WordPress installation. Awstats and Webalizer are good “reality check” tools that provide another view into your websites performance.
  8. Click on the cPanel tab (to return to the main cPanel interface.)
  9. Under the “SimpleScripts Installations” section click on the “WordPress icon/button.”
  10. This will take you to an new page.
  11. Under the “Install WordPress” heading (at the bottom of the page) click the “Install” button. (Ignore steps 2 and 3 and uncheck any checked boxes at this time)
  12. Generally it’s best to use the most recent (Stable) version of WordPress which is selected by default.
  13. Under “Where would you like WordPress installed?” pull down the list to find your new domain name. Unless you have a reason to do otherwise (not likely) choose the domain name by itself, and not the account name as a suffix. For example, select http://my-new-domain.com, but not http://my-new-domain.my-account-name.com
  14. After you’ve cured your insomnia once and for all by reading all of the fine print in “step 4″ check the box labeled “I have read the terms and conditions of the GPLv2 license agreement.”
  15. Click the “Complete” button. (This may take up to 2 or 3 minutes; wait for the status bar to complete).
  16. If there are multiple individuals that you want to have top level administrative access (choose wisely!) to your website, you can forward the email you should have just received from BlueHost with this admin information to this person or persons.
  17. Under “Login URL:” click on the admin link provided, which will be something like:

    http://my-new-domain.com/wp-admin

  18. When the login page appears, type “admin” for the Username and copy and paste the password assigned. You can change it later to something stronger and more secure if you wish; just make sure you keep track of it in a safe place. If you’re on your home or office computer and it isn’t used by anyone else, you can usually check “Remember Me” so that you don’t have to remember your password each time you log in. (An excellent utility for storing ALL your web-accessible accounts and much more is 1Password.)
  19. You should now see the WordPress Dashboard for your new site… Congratulations! You’re ready to rock and roll! :-)

Easy Three Step Embed Code for Flash videos

I had a client request a need for a video directly on his site. This was not the typical YouTube embed. I had to do a bit of exploring to get this right.

I found various plug-ins for WordPress but for a novice in this area, it still was just too complicated. <beating my head against the wall complicated>

I WAS able to create a .FLV file from a .MOV file with a free converter. I am not the programmer, but Bruce is, and doing this on my own I had to look at how to embed this file AND have a player so one could start and stop.

After watching a Lynda.com video I found: Flash Media Playback Setup

See my results here: Orientation Video – What to Expect on Your First Visit

My goodness this is so simple! I mean easy peasy!

Create the HTML code for your web site in three easy steps:

  1. Enter your Video Source URL, and the Width and Height
of your desired video player below.
  2. Select the Preview button to watch your video play in the preview window.
  3. Copy Embed Code and then paste the HTML into your web page.

You are done! Review the documentationand then experiment with other settings. To see the original sample video, select the reset button and all of the settings will be returned to their original values.

Go to  Flash Media Playback Setup and check it out yourself!

What is a QR Code?

This QR code is a two-dimensional code that is “readable by dedicated QR  barcode readers and camera telephones.”

In brief, what does this mean to you, Mr. or Ms. JQ Public? When you scan or read a QR code with your iPhone, Andriod or other camera-enabled Smartphone you can link to digital content on the web. Snap a photo of a 2-D barcode that contains the URL of a site and lauch the site on your cell phone! You can actually active various phone functions like sharing, building a community – such as merging other communities with your Facebook Page, links to information, add contacts instantly to another cell phone address book and more.

Connect with people, save information, trade information all with a snap of a QR Code.

Some practical uses already in practice or possibly in the very near future:

  • Boarding passes at the major airlines
  • Coupons
  • How about one on the back of your business card?
  • Event ticket stubs
  • Point-of-Sale receipts

Once in your cell phone they can store and digitally present date, including url links, geo concordances and text…and so much more.

Do some research and you will see the potential is limitless.
